Contract administration is the work done before a contract is signed into effect. It involves definition of the scope of a contract with emphasis on reducing or eliminating scope creep. It also involves laying out deliverables, preparation of a detailed timeline, spelling out financial terms and value of the contract, processes for handling additional expenses when they arise, creating a plan for measuring success, and specifying who will work on various parts of an agreement.
