Vincent Kakoma - B.Eng, MBA, R.Eng, MEIZ

Mr. Vincent Kakoma has more than 30 years experience in the civil engineering sector. He spent his early years at the Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines' (ZCCM) Nkana Division's Engineering Projects department as a Senior Assistant Engineer. He also worked under the Engineering Services Department were he served as sectional engineer for the Water Section. He was part of a two-man civil engineering team at Konkola Deep Mining Project Phase II that was responsible for the design of mining and ancillary civil engineering structures. He also worked as a technical instructor (part-time lecturer) in Construction Management at the Copperbelt University. Vincent also worked as a Regional Engineer and Contracts Manager for Shonga Steel under the the Building Services and Steel Divisions.

He is an expert in structural engineering design, project management, and CAD systems. He is conversant with QGIS, various computer programing languages including JAVA and Python. His certification as an ILO trainer of trainers adds exceptional people management and team-building skills. He holds B.Eng (Civil) degree and an MBA (Project Management) from UNZA.

Mr. Lubinga Handia is a Civil/Water Resources Engineer with expertise in surface and groundwater hydrology, dams and reservoirs, hydraulic machines, stormwater drainage, rainwater harvesting, environmental assessment and management among others. He has 30 years of experience in the water and sanitation sector in Zambia including training engineering students at the University of Zambia. He has worked as a Consultant on a number of water resources projects including environmental assessment of projects and programmes for international and local public and private companies. He has worked in multi-disciplinary teams both as a consultant and Team.

Mr. Shepherd Hampela Ndhlovu has extensive experience in hydrological modelling, flow forecasting, and water resources management for hydropower planning and operations. He worked at ZESCO Ltd for over 22 years continuously at the Kariba North Bank power station as a civil maintenance technocrat, and as a Principal Hydrology Technologist at ZESCO limited Head Office. He holds a BSc in Environmental Science as well as a Diploma in Water Engineering, with a strong water resources background. He also holds a qualification in Water and Climate Change. Currently, he is a master’s student (H00287447) at Heriot-Watt University (HWU). Mr. Shepherd Hampela Ndhlovu is currently registered as a Professional Technologist at the Engineering Institute of Zambia.
